We provide automatic F.P.A. insurance for all cars shipped by TAU from your purchase of 28/02/2005.

The condition of this insurance is;
1) F.P.A.(Free from Particular Average);
The insurer is not liable for Particular Average unless the carrying vessel or craft is stranded, sunk or burnt. Notwithstanding the above warranty, the insurer is liable for:

i) the insured value of any package or packages which may be totally lost in loading, transhipment or discharge;
ii) loss of or damage to the interest insured which may reasonably be attributed to fire, explosion, collision or contract of the carrying vessel or conveyance with any external substance (ice included) other than water;
iii) loss of or damage to the goods which may reasonably be attributed to discharge of the goods at a port of distress;
iv) Salvage Charges and Particular Charges;
v) General Average;
vi) Total (both actual and constructive) Loss. It must be noted that under the F.P.A. conditions, the loss, damage or expense covered in based on policy perils represented by Perils of the seas and fire (burning).

2) Additional premium
Not only F.P.A., the following extraneous risks are also covered by "additional premium" ;

*War and S.R. & C.C.(Strike Riots and Civil Commotions) Risks
*TPND(Theft, Pilferage and Non-Delivery)

**For shipping to New Zealand & Australia by KIWI CAR CARRIERS(KCC)**
Regarding the shipping by KCC, they arrange their own insurance(KIPS) for all cars. Therefore TAU doesn't provide the above F.P.A. insurance for cars shipped by KCC. For shipping by other companies, TAU takes care of the F.P.A. insurance.
